Inter-Coastal Electronics, Inc. Earns 2007 Summit Award at Consona Customer Conference
Consona Corporation (Consona), a worldwide leader in providing customer relationship management (CEM) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software and services announced at its premier customer conference, that Inter-Coastal Electronics Inc. (ICE), a Mesa, Arizona-based Relevant ERP customer and manufacturer of simulation, training and simulation devices for the U.S. and foreign militaries, is the 2007 recipient of the software provider’s Transformation Award.
The Transformation Award, part of Consona’s annual Summit Awards, honors a customer that has been able to either reinvent its business or achieve a strong return on investment in a relatively short period of time.
ICE had outgrown its existing business processes and was struggling with a goal of finding one system that could meet all it's needs. The ICE team chose Relevant ERP. Full implementation was completed within 12 months, and ICE was able to completely transform its business realizing the following returns:
-
A closer correlation between revenue and production unit cost, thereby extending the company’s government reporting capability.
-
Improvements in inventory utilization by an order of magnitude.
-
Improved scheduling and on-time delivery.
-
The capture of operating data and cost details, which helped the company create an environment of continuous improvement with new visibility and improved metrics.
“We are thrilled to honor ICE with a Summit Award for some absolutely tremendous achievements,” said Jeff Tognoni, CEO of Consona. “ICE sets a standard for the commitment it takes to gain maximum return on a business system investment.”
